See-Through Sangrias

Hi Carolina Blogging Friends!! Stephanie here from Gathered In The Kitchen. I’m so excited to be back sharing with you a recipe that has magical powers! … yes, magical powers! See-Through Sangrias! Before I tell you how it’s magical let me ask you these few questions:

1) Has school already let out for summer over at your house?

2) Are you already losing your mind with your kids being home allll day long?

3) Are you in dire need of some uninterrupted mommy-time?

If you answered yes to any of those questions then this recipe really will be magical for you! It has the power to make you forget all your stresses in the world and just relax! You can truly kick back and just enjoy the moment with this drink!

I am not a drinker, in fact I don’t even like the taste of alcohol…but…this Sangria recipe is so different! It’s light and fruity and has just the right little hint of alcohol – perfect for stressed out mommies!

My husband and I were given this book as a Christmas gift years ago from my mentor Danielle. At the time we were living in the deep south of Georgia – so this was truly fitting!

Let me show you how I made it! It’s so easy!

1 1/2c halved green grapes, 1 1/2c sliced strawberries, 1 sliced unpeeled lemon, 1 sliced unpeeled lime, 1 sliced unpeeled small orange
In a large glass pitcher add 1 bottle of wine and 1/2c sugar (that’s my pretty sister in the background!)
Add all of the fruit and 2c club soda (I have no idea what I was doing, obviously not focusing my camera though! – and that’s me)
Next add in 1/2c Orange Liqueur
Let it soak overnight (or all afternoon like me)
Fruity goodness

I love it because it helps me plan out our meals for the week and not be left guessing what I’m going to make for dinner each night! Seriously a huge life saver and stress reducer!
