I’ve got a great place to share that is family friendly and full of fall activities for the whole family. Imagine being escorted by hayride out to a pickin’ patch where you can search for the perfect pumpkin to take home and enjoy through the holidays. This along with a country fixin’ dinner and shows are some of the things you can experience when visiting Mike’s Farm in Beulaville, North Carolina.

I am being a bit bias when I say that October would be the month my family is planning to visit Mike’s Farm, however Christmas comes in as a very close second with the holiday events. Whether you plan to visit in the spring, summer or fall, there is always something to do on the farm. Supper with Santa is booked for 2015, however it is on our “must do” list for 2016. This is an event that you will want to book early for as the seats fill up fast!

With October quickly passing, I wanted to highlight a few fall activities at Mike’s Farm that we plan on attending this year. We are looking forward to a hayride out to find the perfect pumpkin to put by our front door for Halloween. I would encourage you to read about the history of the farm before you visit to truly appreciate the family friendly atmosphere.

Mike’s Farm Pickin’ Patch

The pickin’ patch is at the top of the list for us to visit in October. You can find something fun to do in the Pickin’ Patch year round. From easter egg hunting to pumpkin pickin’, the pickin’ patch is a great place to catch photos of your family while enjoying your time at the farm. Pumpkin Patch hayrides start September 27, 2014 and run until November 1st. You can find more information about the hayrides at Mike’s Farm by clicking here.

Animals on the Farm

Visiting Mike’s Farm is much more than the pickin’ patch and food. We are looking forward to visiting the animals on the farm. Make sure to check out some of the furry and feathered friends of Mike’s Farm when you visit too! They have chickens, rabbits, ducks, turkeys, sheep, goats and more. You can visit and interact with farm friends in their environment and snap a few pictures for your photo album.

Mike’s Farm Food, Bakery & Gift Shop

Staying for dinner is a must when you visit Mike’s Farm. Their restaurant offers southern food with fall gospel Shows and a “Ho Ho Christmas Show” featuring a musical variety and Christmas Light Show hayride. Did you see the pie in the picture above? That is just one of many treats that come from the bakery at Mike’s Farm. A souvenir would be a great way to remember your trip to the farm. Make sure to check out their gift shop and grab a few goodies for friends and family.

There is something fun to do that is family friendly no matter what time of year you choose to visit at Mike’s Farm. If you are looking for a wedding venue, I would recommend checking out their Barn. Check out their website for directions to the farm, special events throughout the year and contact information for group events.

We would love to see your pictures from your visit to the farm. Share them with us on our Facebook page and make sure to tag Mike’s Farm on Facebook too!
