What is your business name?
Lola & Starr. We are an online soy wax candle business. Our products can also be found locally in fine boutiques in and around Wilmington, North Carolina. Click here to see a list of retailers for Lola & Starr.
How did your business get started?
It got Started in March 2015, and at first, we introduced a handmade jewelry line, then, we introduced soy wax candles and we immediately starting having orders for our candles and a few stores got also interested in selling them. I wanted to create scents that were not common in the market, and were unique in both scents and packaging with a vibe of the “Apothecary times”. Our business took a turn to just create candles from that day going forward.
What does your customer base look like? Do you serve a specific age group or customer type?
We cater to everyone. Everybody loves a nice scent in their homes!
Does your business have a busy season or time of year that attracts more customers? When would be the perfect time for a customer to check out your business?
We are busy throughout the year, however, the holiday season has been really our most challenging and busiest. We do let our costumers know to order 2 weeks in advance for the holidays. Check out the website and start shopping! Lola & Starr Website
