Today we are highlighting a small business out of Wilmington, North Carolina. We’ve been ordering cheesecakes from Chris over the past few years. These are hands down, the best cheesecakes I’ve tasted and company heads for them first on the dessert table during the holidays. Without further delay, it is my pleasure to share Chris’s Cosmic Cheesecakes with you.
Imagine the thought of sinking your teeth in to a freshly fried piece of southern fried chicken. Imagine having access to a goldmine of a resource that listed over 300 stops within North and South Carolina of fried chicken. See why having a copy of “The Great” Carolina Fried Chicken Map would lead to an epic road trip filled with crispy golden fried chicken and great memories across the Carolinas.
Beginning in 1939 by Mr. and Mrs. Charlie and Anne Grainger, “Peacock Alley” located off Queen Street in Wilmington, NC became the first drive-in in town. After 40 years of business, the Graingers retired leaving a long legacy of good food, great memories, and lifelong friendships. Purchased in 2012 by Louis North, he revived the hot dog tradition but added his own staples to the menu introducing his famous brisket, bbq, and chicken salad to accompany the homemade soups and sides. Charlie Graingers is now expanding, bringing the values of a classic Southern restaurant to the rest of the Country.
