Melissa is a 40-something, animal loving, soccer mom who has a slight coffee addiction and loves to blog. She shares her life with her (native Mexican) husband of 22+ years, 3 beautiful daughters ranging from high school to college age, and 5 furbabies (2 dogs, 3 cats). With a passion for soccer, she attends games galore (the girls’ teams and her beloved Carolina Railhawks). Melissa considers her blog, Adventures of Frugal Mom, to be the “jack-of-all-trades blog,” as she covers everything from crafts, cooking, recipes, frugal tips, reviews, multicultural life, and more. Occasionally, her Shih Tzu, Allie, hijacks the blog to give her barking opinion. Follow Melissa and her adventures in and around her beloved home state of North Carolina.
Coco Darlings specializes in celebrations that keep your child and their guests engaged, active and fully entertained.
Whether you are looking for an adorable dress up party for your six year old, an imaginative costume fairytale party or a birthday bash designed especially for preteen girls, we have the party that will make your child’s birthday dreams come true.
Coco Darlings is not a franchise, but rather owned by myself, Courtney Churakos.
My search for balance between being a mom, having a career and a wife has been crazy at times, rewarding and certainly has its ups and downs! I started Coco Darlings in 2008 because I was looking for an interesting new business and planning parties has been a passion of mine for years. My daughter being the guinea pig of course! I inspired by my then six year old princess, I wanted to bring this same passion, fun, and magic to all the princesses of Goldsboro, NC… I have recently decided to leave my corporate job and devote myself full time to Coco Darlings. I feel empowered by my decision and want to take part, even if it’s just for a day, in sharing this empowerment with young girls in our community as well as the wonderful high school & college girls that work for me.
