Diving With Sharks, Speeding On A Jet Boat And Singing Along To Dueling Piano Players Are Just A Few Things Guests Can Experience
Broadway at the Beach, an experiential retail and entertainment center located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is one of the state’s most popular attractions, featuring many unique experiences.
As of this summer, it is embarking on two and a half decades of being the primary provider of world-class entertainment along the South Carolina coast.
“We pride ourselves in providing memorable visits that our guests will cherish for years to come,” said Melissa Armstrong, director of marketing for Burroughs and Chapin, which owns Broadway at the Beach. “We are continuously working to bring fresh, innovative and new experiences for all to enjoy.”
Check out these seven unique experiences for families to enjoy at Broadway at the Beach:
Dive with the sharks at Ripley’s Aquarium – You can come face-to-face with snappers, a green sea turtle, giant stingrays, sawfish, and even some large sharks. The two-hour experience includes a behind-the-scenes tour of the aquarium, a pre-dive briefing, the dive with the sharks and a commemorative T-Shirt.
Ay Caramba! Spend some time with The Simpsons – Walk into The Aztec Theater and the home to America’s most beloved cartoon, The Simpsons. Join Marge, Homer, Lisa, Bart, Maggie and more in a 4D experience during two shows in The Aztec Theater. Then, as you walk out of the theater, enter the Kwik-E-Mart for a Lard Lad Donut, a Heat Lamp Hot Dog, a Squishee and more!
Climb a Glow-in-the-Dark Ropes Course at WonderWorks – Seems like everywhere you turn these days, there’s a ropes course. But none along the Grand Strand can beat the Glow-in-the-Dark Ropes Course at WonderWorks. The three-story adventure course stands 36 feet tall and features 28 obstacles.
Stop by and laugh with the ‘Funny Man’ – Klig’s Kites has a few locations, but only the location in Broadway at the Beach has the “Funny Man” out front. Known for his outrageous style, his show runs from 6 to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday during the summer months.
Empower a young girl with a trip to Sparkles – Sparkles is an imaginative, experience-driven retailer for girls of all ages. Sparkles offers makeover packages in which girls can choose to be a Mystical Mermaid, Rainbow Unicorn Princess, Beach Beauty, or Little Miss Sparkles for the day. The makeover experience includes a glamorous hairstyle, eye shadow, lip gloss, sparkly nail painting, a makeup compact, and a Sparkles Myrtle Beach drawstring backpack filled with five gifts of her choice. Then, she can choose an accessory for her hairstyle like a microphone, crown, unicorn headband, or sunglasses. After she is all done up, she’ll get to dance and sing on stage to her favorite song — all for one price!
Fulfill your need for speed on the Beach Rider Jet Boat — Known as the roller coaster on water, the Beach Rider Jet Boat continues to be a family favorite when visiting Broadway. Take a speed boat ride across Lake Broadway and expect two things: your adrenaline to start pumping and to possibly get wet!
Sing along to Myrtle Beach’s only dueling piano spot – Crocodile Rocks! – Release your inner rock star as you tap your toes and sing along with the talented musicians of Crocodile Rocks. Whether you enjoy oldies, country music or even some rock and roll, watch (and sing) as musicians go head-to-head with some of the most crowd-pleasing music on the Grand Strand.
